Process to Join Our Team
We appreciate your interest in our Company. As you will see in our hiring process, we take career decisions very seriously. The process consists of multiple steps and is designed to ensure that we have enough information about each other to make the best career decision possible. The following is a description of the steps in our hiring process.
Step 1. Application and Assessment
You will need approximately one hour to complete the first step. You will first complete an application that will take approximately fifteen minutes. We want to learn as much as we can about you. Even though you may have submitted a resume, we require an application to be completed in its entirety. Once you have finished the application you immediately will be directed to the assessment page. This will take approximately 45-50 minutes to complete.
We want you to make the career choice
that is right for you. To help you make that
choice, we must be sure our needs and wants
match yours. We have validated a management
assessment that will let us know if Hops is the best fit for you.
Step 2. Phone Interview
One of our HR Managers will schedule a time to speak with you by phone at your convenience. The phone interview will take approximately thirty minutes. We want to clarify any question we may have and allow you an opportunity to ask us questions. If your qualification and experience coincide with our needs and we have met your needs, we will invite you to complete step three of the process. The HR Manager will ask for your approval signature in order to conduct a background search.
Step 3. Interview 1
You will meet with one of our Training General Managers (TGM).
A TGM will spend approximately one to one and a half hours with you. The TGM will conduct the interview in one of our restaurants and get to know you better.
Step 4. Realistic Job Preview (RJP)
The RJP will give you two hours to see
what the life of a Hops manager would entail. The first 30 minutes will be spent with the TGM. This is your opportunity to shadow the manager as he/she performs his/her duties and responsibilities and ask questions about the job. The rest of your time will be spent exploring the restaurant on your own. Observe the people and the products, interact with the guests, ask questions and get involved in any way you can. This is your chance to really experience and find out as much as you can about the work style, operations and atmosphere at
Hops.
Step 5. Interview 2
This interview will be with the District Operator of the market. The
District Operator will spend approximately one hour getting to know you better.
Step 6. Offer
We will consider the entire interview process when we make our decision. You will be contacted by either the District Operator or HR Manager with the decision.
